Today is the 2nd day of HIRU Uththama Dhathu Wandana programme organized for the 4th year by HIRU TV and HIRU FM in view of the Vesak Poya Day, which commemorates the birth, enlightenment and the demise of Lord Buddha.
Hundreds of thousands of devotees are still arriving at the historical Muthiyangana Viharaya in Badulla to pay homage to the sacred Kapilawasthu relics.
The Chief incumbent stated the following on paying homage to the sacred tooth relics.
