Commemorating the three significant events during the life of Buddha, Hiru’s Shakya singha Mangalya commences at the sacred Ridee Viharaya (Photos)

HIRU Shakya singha Mangalyaya, organized by HIRU FM and HIRU TV to mark the Vesak Festival is currently under way at Ridi Viharaya in Kurunegala

Numerous merit deeds including “Dhamma Deshana” and “Dhamma Saakachcha” have been scheduled to be held in the historical Ridi Viharaya premises throughout the day.

HIRU Shakya singha Mangalyaya began with material and spiritual offerings at this sacred temple premises.

Illumination of the Chetiya of Ridi Viharaya will be switched on by the chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Rayynor Silva this evening.

Coinciding with the illumination of Ridi Viharaya Chetiya, one hundred thousand oil lamps will also be lit at the temple premises.
